The CRACK OF DOOM II is a greatly expanded and improved version of the original COD game system which features many more options and a greater emphasis on role-playing including more character classes, troop types, items, skills, bonuses and a much larger world to explore.
Features nearly two dozen character classes including Bards, Clerics, Druids, Necromancers, Paladins, Rangers, Seers and Monks, each with their own unique skills and abilities.

The response was so tremendous that we increased the number of positions available by 50% in an effort to accommodate all the requests we received -- not nearly enough but it was the most we could manage and remain faithful to the concept. | We are now taking applications for a brand NEW RACE that is about to make its appearance on Lorasia. This is not a previously unknown native race but apparently new arrivals. We need a number of players to kick off the introduction and are taking applications for a very limited time. We can't provide too many details up front in order to maintain the mystery of this dramatic event but the new race is unlike anything seen before including unique character class/troop types. What we need are resourceful, though not necessarily experienced, players with a strong commitment to role-playing (ie you can't immediately have your position cooperate with your existing positions or allies) and secrecy (you can't release details of the new race to others unless it is through appropriate role-playing contact). Note: This counts as one of your three available Empires but is a Special rather than Advanced Race so it does not conflict with the one Advanced Race limitation. |

He started off making a small change to the battle programs to refine some of the Battle Book settings and he ended up adding a host of new options as well as a new character class! So what are the new options? We can't tell you as they must be learned through play (Hint: "But I didn't want to capture that!"). What about the new character class? We can't tell you that either (Hint: Most commonly learned from Elves/Dark Elves and use Agility to rain destruction on foes). With this addition we now have 19 Character Classes in COD II of which only seven are covered in the Rule Book. How many of the remaining twelve have YOU discovered? |

| Thanks to a suggestion from Raymond Doo we have a great new addition to the battle program. Now, when there is a significant difference in the combat bonuses between two combatants, page two will include a text report indicating who has the advantage and hinting as to how great of an advantage there was (but never the actual numbers which can vary a great deal depending on the circumstances of the battle). The report takes into account everything from Leadership to Experience, Battle Zeal, special armor, training, the effects of combat related skills and much more. A valuable resource for evaluating your army's capabilities. |

| Duane was at it again! He spent most of August "tweaking" the processing programs to improve results, increase efficiency and reduce errors. Perhaps most importantly to the players, he added a number of new spells and spent a lot of time on the battle program, increasing the importance of bonuses and combat related skills such as Metalworking (for better weapons) and Healing Arts (for fewer casualties) among other improvements. We will begin using the new software September 1st. |
